About Glynda Fuselier, PharmD
Glynda Fuselier grew up in the small town of Jonesville, Louisiana, where her love for pharmacy first took root—mixing flower petals, leaves, and whatever she could find outside to make “medicine” as a child. She graduated as valedictorian from Block High School in 2005 and went on to earn her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in 2012.
Glynda began working at Spats Rexall Drugs in 2007 while still in pharmacy school where she realized her passion for independent pharmacy. After graduation, She moved back home and worked at Rite Aid in Natchez, Mississippi, then Fred’s Pharmacy in Ferriday, Louisiana. Eventually, she found herself in Alexandria, Louisiana, at Ray’s Pharmacy. That job turned out to be one of the most meaningful steps in her journey—not only professionally, but personally—as it’s where she met her husband at a company Christmas party. She and her husband Mark now have three beautiful children together.
In 2017, Glynda and her family relocated to Lake Charles to pursue new opportunities for her husband Mark, a local financial advisor. After working in various settings around the area, Glynda met Barry Laningham while doing relief work. He was looking to retire, and she was ready for the next chapter. The rest is history.
